About

Hi! I’m Kayley Klatt and I am a college sophomore who is empowered to foster change in my community and school. I have been a participant in the Miss Florida’s Outstanding Teen Program since the young age of seven as a Sunshine Princess through the Sunshine Princess and Prince Foundation and now as a competitor representing the beautiful Sunshine City.

I absolutely love staying active, spending quality time with my family and friends, advocating for Bullying Prevention, running my business (Kayley Klatt Consulting), and of course hosting my podcast, The Choose Kindness Podcast.

In 2020, I became a Real Talk Brand Ambassador for Advanced Recovery Systems and I am working closely to spread awareness across the state about the correlation between mental health, bullying and substance use.

Miss Florida’s Outstanding Teen Program

Something most people find shocking when they first meet me is my participation in the Miss Florida’s Outstanding Teen Program. I was fortunate to have grown up with a mentor through the Sunshine Princess and Prince Foundation who taught me the importance of being authentic, having integrity, and working hard for your goals no matter the size.

A common misconception is that a program such as this fosters unhealthy dieting or portrays young women in the wrong light, however, I am here to tell you that this program fosters women empowerment, optimism, and raises bright, outstanding young ladies who aren’t afraid to reach for the stars! The Miss Florida’s Outstanding Teen program has inspired me to reach my full potential as well as strive to become the best version of myself every day.

Family

Family is so incredibly important to me. My parents are my greatest supporters, my best friends, and some of the funniest people I know. I can always count on them to give the most wonderful advice to not only me, but my friends as well.

What some of you may not know is that I share nearly everything with my parents, placing me in a unique position to have an unbreakable bond with them both. I love my family beyond belief and I think you would too.

My Friends

As a sophomore at Rollins College, I have been fortunate enough to meet and form strong bonds with amazing people. My friends hold a very special place in my heart and I will cherish the memories made for a lifetime.

The things I always look for in a friendship are kindness, humor, loyalty, and most importantly integrity. Friends should make you feel free to be your authentic self at all times and bring out the absolute best in you. I am so grateful for the close friendships I have that encourage me to embrace my uniqueness and empower me to accomplish great things as I do for them.
